Granex pro being a component of skin tissue can benefit all stages of the wound healing process. When Granex pro is made available to the wound bed, closure occurs. Granex pro is also resistant to bacteria, which is of vital importance in a wound dressing It helps to keep the wound sterile, because of its natural ability to fight infection. When Granex pro is used as a burn dressing healthy granulation tissue is able to form very quickly over the burn helping it to heal rapidly.
Granex pro performs the following functions in wound healing:
Guiding Function: Granex pro fibers serve to guide fibroblasts. Fibroblasts migrate along a connective tissue matrix. Chemotactic properties: "The large surface area available on Granex pro fibers can attract fibrogenic cells which help in healing.
Nucleation: Granex pro, in the presence of certain neutral salt molecules, can as a nucleating age causing the formation of fibrillar structures. A Quick Heal wound dressing might serve as a guide for orienting new fibrin deposition and capillary growth.
Hemostatic properties: Blood platelets interact with the Granex pro to make a hemostatic plug.
